At the end of the sixties, I was working on the book series Mediterraneo and I was in search of images of our stormy sea, in the Strait of Bonifacio. It was not hard to find them when the mistral began to blow.
We challenged him as long as we could, then we looked for shelter downwind and after bordeggiato Caprera along its east coast, between mountains of water, finally we found it bypassing a rocky spur on the southern side. Suddenly everything changed around us. My little "gozzo" floated motionless in a bay, neither small nor large, framed in beautiful granite rocks of a pink sometimes clear, sometimes dark. And by blue opal waters streaching out to sea with a tone of blue, dark blue and cobalt. Were the colors of the bays Polynesian islands by high falaises rock; I had just finished filming Last Paradise in Polynesia and those colors were still in my eyes. I turned to friends onboard the "gozzo" and exclaimed, "it's like in Tahiti." A joke uttered casually. I could not imagine that it was destinated to survive to that time.
